Can my windscreen be repaired?

There is a limit to what can be repaired and we have to tools and expertise to assess the damage and advise you whether or not a repair can be carried out. The template shown in the above pictures enables us to assess whether or not the stone chip damage can be repaired. This is largely dependant on the size of the chip and the area of the windscreen the damage is in. The repair is done by injecting windscreen repair resin into the chip, which prevents any further damage such as a cracked screen.

If the chip is repaired promptly, so that no dirt has been trapped inside, the repair will, in most cases, be almost invisible and the repaired screen will be as strong as it was before.

The repair will usually take around 15-20 minutes to complete and can be done at a time and place convenient to you.

How much will it cost?

If you your vehicle has fully comprehensive insurance, a stone chip repair is usually free, as the insurance company will pay for the cost of the repair for you. There are a few exceptions but we will be able to advise you.
